Junior Police Academy

The Tupelo Police Department will once again host a two-week Junior Police Academy. Dates this year are June 19 through June 30. This academy is in its 17th year and going strong. Cadets 14 to 17 years of age will get to experience some of the training that is required for a career in law enforcement. Cadets learn about teamwork, physical fitness, honor and devotion to community while interacting with local full-time law enforcement officers and trainers. Cadets stay on the premises at the North Mississippi Law Enforcement Training Center during the academy.

If your child has an interest in attending this year’s academy please contact Ofc. Neil Naron at neil.naron@tupeloms.gov for information and an application. Applications may also be picked up at TPD headquarters, Tupelo City Hall, Tupelo High School, Tupelo Middle School and Tupelo Public School District Main Office. There is no cost to attend the academy and space is limited, so please make application soon
